Did this feel weirdly flat and predictable to anyone else?

Bigger checklist (one we can actually check off, so satisfying!) and more objects to collect. More environments within each world, more places to go, more things to check out.
What are some of the better puzzles you can remember from the games? What would be some key points as far as issues that need to be addressed moving forward in order to keep the fan base alive? I've got some ideas that could be elaborate on. Suppose there was to be a petition on (I haven't given up on this idea). We may see more products with the words "Nancy Drew" on them, but that will be as far as the resemblance goes. It will be like reaching out to a brick wall. In spite of what they say, ever since the new CEO came on board, the company stopped caring what the fans think.Īnd so it shall remain as long as the company has the same CEO. Look at all the pleas and petitions by fans that were made when the voice of Nancy was fired and the fans wanted her back the distress, the letters written to the company, etc., went on for months and it did not change a thing. And I don't think the CEO has cared about what we think since the first day she came on board and hasn't cared since. Last I read they are working on a VR title with a spanish developer and are focussing on augmented reality (AR) games, things that no one ever asked for.This.
#Will there be another nancy drew game series
The entire series seems to have morphed into a vanity project for the CEO, so she can fly around the globe and feel cutting edge and important. Hopefully they want to succeed, and if they do, they're listening to us even if they're not responding.Īnd in the meantime, we can all enjoy the boards and the other 32 games. We do so in the hopes that HeR will recognize what they have gotten so right in the past and will try to tap into that going forward. We don't post negative MID reviews out of animosity or malice. I HOPE they also know that we, the loyal and longtime fanbase, are rooting for them. I'm an optimist, so I'm going to believe that HeR knows they need to produce a better game next time if they want to survive as a company. (I want to believe they wouldn't post fake positive reviews, but a couple of the reviews on HeR's own site sound suspiciously inauthentic so maybe it goes on here, too.) They can't say, "hey, everyone says this game is awful, but buy it anyway," so they counter the bad reviews with plenty of fake good comments and hope for the best. Buyer beware and all that, but that's the nature of marketing. They made the game and they have to sell it. I'm not on FB and don't know much about what goes on over there, but if they seem to be flooding the site with positive comments that don't sound genuine, it's probably just part of a marketing strategy to help their sales. I doubt they come back here to read the reviews all the time, but I'm sure they've seen at least some of the early reviews and they probably have someone who still checks once in a while to let them know what opinions about the game are predominant. It's equally possible (and this is what gives me hope) that they realized they had a problem and had to do better for next time. It's possible that after they saw how poorly the game was received, they gave up reading reviews and stuck their heads in the sand. After all, if you make a product, you want to find out what people think of it.

I feel certain that the PTB at HeR (and likely at least a couple of people at Mi'pu'mi) have seen the MID feedback from these boards - at least the early MID posts and reviews.
